Bonjour Claude! Regarding the first picture I had to think of gym in the morning ;)! I see that all of you had fun with finding the solutions of your riddles. I wasn't here with answers, but as I said before: in our languages we do have some proverbs in common, but in grammars ther's quite a difference between French and Dutch.......even in guessing. But it was fun to discover the answers ;)!I must say that I do love your little miniature scenes, after you declared the proverbs, they clearly show the answers :D! They are so well done!Bonne journée. Bisous, Ilona
thank you Ilona! for the first scene, when I found it, I did not remember its meaning! ! and I wondered what my gymnast was like! :-)bonne journéebisous

Once more it was so much fun looking at your vignettes and trying to find the meaning. Some of them are the same in German like f. e. the last one, others are not known and some lead in the wrong way like the one with the door; we have a saying about falling in the house having the door in the hands. But as Ilona already said, knowing the answers is shows how well you've made your vignettes... and your little persons are so cute.HugsBirgit
thanks Birgit! I imagine the difficulty of understanding expressions in a foreign language! There is a French book on French-English expressions "Sky my husband" is hilarious http://www.ebook777.com/sky-husband-integrale-ciel-mon-mari-lintegrale/hugs
