What a fantastic motif - a great idea to use it for a transfer. The main theme with the big bird and the 3 small ones reminded me of something I've just learnt - in the Catholic church a Pelican biting itself and feeding its chickens with its own blood is a symbol often used. I'd suppose the central motif has a similar background... but however... it's beautiful.
This is probably the theme of the pelican is used. This motif comes from an Indo-Portuguese embroidery of the XII-XIII century, which comes from the Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas, Madrid. hugs
